Mama Cat
About three weeks ago, someone dumped a pregnant cat at our house. She was definitely dumped, and not a stray, as she walked right up to us the first day we noticed her. This is now the 2nd cat that has been dumped at our house, and just like Edith (the first cat) this cat was all skin and bones also. :(
We obviously don't have the heart to turn this cat away. I mean, I just wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did that, espeically seeing her condition and just how skinny she was. So my brother and I have been feeding her, much to Mike's dissaproval.
We thought for sure her kittens would not make it, as she was in really bad shape when she first showed up. But to our much suprise she had 6 (yes 6!!!) little kittens yesterday on our back porch.
One, unfortunatly didn't make it. But the other 5 are doing well, and look to be thriving.
Here are some pictures of our new little porch renters. :)
Mama Cat (these pictures were only taken 3 days ago--so you can see how she didn't even look like she was going to have kittens--and this was even after 3 weeks of lots and lots of food):

The adorable kittens :

Mama Cat and her kittens:

And the poor mama cat from today: (she looks SOOO uncomfortable)

If anyone is interested in a kitten, shoot me an email in about 4-6 weeks. (hint, hint ;) )
